GLOBAL MISSIONS

NORTHERN IRELAND

Every summer, UCF takes a team to the cities of Coleraine and Ballymena in Northern Ireland. We spend four weeks building relationships with children, some of whom are well taken care of and well off and others who are growing up in the American equivalent to the projects. Our hope is to share the gospel in everything we do as we grow to know and love the children and families in the communities we visit. We host "Bible Clubs," which are essentially vacation Bible schools involving songs, stories, crafts, and games. Because the trip is a month long, we have the opportunity to build strong relationships with people we meet, to really experience and learn about a different culture, and to bond with the team of students from UCF.

We have shortened our trip for this summer and will be in Ballymena August 2-13. Our group of 9 will visit our friends in Dunclug and Ballykeel, check out the sites, and assess how we can continue to connect and encourage the church in Northern Ireland. Please pray for our trip, our team, and that we would know God's sovereignty at work during our visit.

HAITI

On May 28th, we returned from our trip to the Mission of Hope near Titanyen and Cabaret in Haiti. Our group of 14 got to work, play with kids, and catch a glimpse of life in Haiti during our brief week there. We were grateful to return to the States healthy and with an expanded heart for Haiti, ready to go back when the Lord calls us. We hope to make this a staple trip for UCF in the future and will be praying and planning for opportunities next year / summer.
